About CHOPSTICKs

Our team name consists of two words: CHOP and STICKS, which are two very key skills in cooking a nice dish.  

The Process is...

By chopping (un-bundle), moving around and eventually sticking (re-bundle) different raw ingredients, we can cook a wide variety of dishes which fit everybody's appetite (win-win).

The Ingredients are...

When using chopsticks, one needs to apply force on three points from a distance in order to make the pivot works well in holding the food.  This is a good analogy that we three members will all contribute our best efforts in the virtual collaboration to feed ourselves with knowledge and nutrition despite our distance in between each other.

Our Goal is...

Chopsticks are never working alone.  Our fate is to be a perfect pair with any group we may work with.  With 16 pairs of us, we will make a big feast!

Phebe 

Phebe works as an executive officer in a local university. For most of the projects, Phebe needs to work with other colleagues in team, cooperation within own office and with other departments are her daily jobs. Phebe's team ranging from a few people to more than 30 people. The larger the number of people in the team, the higher the chance of having different opinions and conflicts. The skills of building a high performing team and resolving conflicts between colleagues are definitely crucial for Phebe.

                                                                            

Alice

Alice  is currently an assistant manager of the business school in a local university. She finds the meaning of her job is to streamline creative project collaborations between undergraduate students and real-life business partners. This course, High Performance Collaborations, is just a perfect match to what she needs for enriching herself and doing the community good.

                                                                            

Joyce

Joyce is working for an IT company as an Office Manager who mainly takes charge of Admin. & HR and events. Her job nature needs to collaborate with different departments, different grading of colleagues and external customers and suppliers. To have the knowledge and skills of high performance collaborations is the goal of Joyce hopes to achieve in this course.
